Examines the therapeutic effect of puppetry with exceptional middle school students (N=12). Results indicated improvement in school attendance and school suspensions. No difference in students' attitudes or academic achievement in either language arts or mathematics was found. (BL)

Surveyed 100 North Carolina elementary counselors and compared the results with earlier studies. Describes school situations and the role and function of counselors. This sample contained more women than men, and was younger and less experienced than earlier groups. Generally low levels of anxiety were found. (JAC)
